
Roberto Lovato
Roberto Lovato is a longtime journalist and author writing about numerous issues, including immigration, racial justice, violence, and poverty. He was a co-founder of numerous advocacy organizations like presente.org and Dignidad Literaria, and is currently an assistant professor of English at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His book Unforgetting: A Memoir of Family, Migration, Gangs, and Revolution in the Americas was called “groundbreaking” by the New York Times and was listed in the Los Angeles Times best books of 2020. His essays and reports from around the world have appeared in the New York Times, Guernica magazine, The Believer, The Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, and many others.
