
Khury Petersen-Smith
Khury Petersen-Smith is the Michael Ratner Middle East Fellow and the co-director of the New Internationalism Project at the Institute for Policy Studies. He researches the U.S. empire, borders, and migration, and strategizes with activists against U.S. militarism. Khury graduated from the Clark University Graduate School of Geography in Massachusetts after completing a dissertation that focused on militarization and sovereignty. He is one of the co-authors and organizers of the 2023 Black Voices for Ceasefire Statement, which more than six thousand Black activists, artists, and scholars signed.
