Joseph Torres

Joseph Torres is the senior advisor for reparative policy and programs at Free Press, a media and tech advocacy organization. As co-­creator of Media 2070, a media reparations project, Joseph writes on media and internet issues and co-authored the New York Times’s bestseller News for All the People: The Epic Story of Race and the American Media with Juan González. Joseph received the 2015 Everett C. Parker Award for his work in the public interest. Before joining Free Press, he served as deputy director of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
