Jennifer Johnson Avril

Jennifer Johnson Avril is a communications worker whose focus on narrative change to address health care disparities, poverty, and queer rights has included a role in advocacy communications at the NYC nonprofit Housing Works. She is also a former floor member of ACT UP NY and was an original member of the NYC COVID-19 Working Group. Jennifer’s writing has been published in TheBody.com and Advocate, and she is a proud graduate of the master’s program in media studies for social change at Queens College/CUNY.
