
Jen Soriano
Jen Soriano is a Filipinx American writer, independent scholar, and performer who has long worked at the intersection of grassroots organizing, narrative strategy, and art- driven social change. They are the author of the chapbook Making the Tongue Dry and the lyric essay collection Nervous, as well as the co- editor of the anthology Closer to Liberation: Pina / xy Activism in Theory and Practice. Jen helped build the organization that became MediaJustice, and they are currently the co-founder and board chair of the narrative power- building institution ReFrame. As principal of Lionswrite Communications, Jen has strengthened the narrative capacity and impact of social justice groups working from local to international scales. Originally from a landlocked part of the Chicago area, Jen now lives with their family in Seattle, near the Duwamish River and the Salish Sea.
